Preview:
The Melbourne Stars are still chasing that elusive Big Bash title after going down to the Melbourne Renegades in last year’s final. The Stars are the model of consistency and they have missed the finals in only one of their campaigns, but taking the next step has been an issue for them. This could be the season that changes. Dale Steyn is past his prime, but is still a very dangerous bowler on his day and adds some explosiveness to a fast bowling attack that did lack some bite last season. Nathan Coulter-Nile is another shrew signing and he is a player with the capability to swing a match with both bat and ball. The Stars are right in the mix and are probably the safest bet to qualify for the finals.
