Queensland firms for State Of Origin 2013 Game 2

Queensland have firmed in betting across all of the major State of Origin markets with online bookmaker sportsbet, including to win game two and the 2013 series.

The Maroons’ have tightened from $1.60 into $1.52 to level the series at 1-1 and from $3.00 into $2.75 to win an eighth straight Origin crown. The Blues’ are out to $2.55 to win Wednesday night’s clash.

62 percent of all money staked on the game two head to head market is now on Queensland, up from 56 percent from Friday last week.

And it looks like game two will be the most watched in Origin history, with sportsbet.com.au offering $1.65 for it to eclipse the 4.065 million viewer record and $2.10 for it to fall short.

“There’s still plenty of time until kick-off so I expect to see that figure jump to around 70 percent. Basically, seven out of every ten dollars bet on the game will be on the Maroons come kick off!” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

Origin’s greatest ever try scorer Greg Inglis heads the betting at $10 to score the first try and should he score a try at any time in game one, sportsbet.com.au will refund all losing first bets on the game.
