It says a lot that the 9-4 New England Patriots, currently on a seven game winning streak and on top of the AFC playoff seedings are underdogs as they head to Indianapolis for the first time since the 2015 season.

Such are the questions surrounding Bill Belichick’s team and whether or not this impressive run is just a mirage.

These teams are built in very similar fashion and both teams will look to shut down the running game and make the opposing quarterback beat them.

Mac Jones has started to show signs of a rookie wall (not counting the three pass night in Buffalo in his last outing) while Carson Wentz has had more good games than bad after being reunited with Frank Reich.

This was once the NFL’s premiere rivalry and while there will still be some lingering hostilities over perceived past wrongdoings on both sides, you can count on both sides to focus on getting the job done.

In an even matchup such as this, I will back the Colts to hand New England their first loss on the road, because if New England wins this, I won’t back against them until they face the Chiefs in the AFC Championship.

Either way, it will be a close one.
