Black Caviar’s rival ‘Frankel’ has not been retired from racing

UK star ‘Frankel’ trained by Sir Henry Cecil and owned by Prince Khalid Abdulla was reported to have been retired from racing this morning after succumbing to minor injury to his off-fore leg during the week. Although new reports from Teddy Grimthorpe (Juddmonte’s racing manager) suggest the son of Saddler’s Wells has not been retired.

BREAKING NEWS: Frankel is not retired

AtTheRaces reported on Twitter that Frankel had been retired although new reports suggest this is not true. And has been confirmed:

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, told Racing UK:

“He hasn’t been retired. We very much hope he has a future on the racetrack. It’s too early to talk about retirement. We are positive and optimistic.”
