SAfrica T20 star Levi unable to fire again

South Africa Twenty20 international star Richard Levi came down to earth with a bang on Friday after scoring a meagre three runs for Western Cape Cobras in the domestic 20-over championship.

He was caught by Proteas Test opener Alviro Petersen off the bowling of Chris Morris after facing 10 balls during 18 minutes as Highveld Lions won a T20 thriller by three wickets at the Wanderers.

Levi created T20 history just five days ago with an unbeaten 117 against New Zealand in Hamilton — his 45-ball century was the fastest in an international and included a record 13 sixes.

The total of the 24-year-old South African also equalled the highest scored in a T20 international, matching the mark set by Chris Gayle of the West Indies against South Africa five years ago.

Title favourites Cobras recovered from the early departure of Levi to make 6-178 with Englishman Owais Shah (48) slamming five sixes and Stiaan van Zyl (39) seven fours.
