It was a really bad night at the office for the Roar in their last outing, going down 4-0 to the Jets in their biggest A-League defeat since December 2019.

Life does not get any easier for them when they take on a battling Adelaide side who will be looking to move on from last week’s dramatic draw with Melbourne City.

When they met in Queensland in December, Brisbane was able to grab a point thanks to a late Jay O’Shea penalty, however there are some real questions over whether or not their attack can make the required improvements to maintain a top six challenge.

Adelaide will need to refocus after a horror leg break suffered by Spanish midfielder Juande however it is hard to ignore just how impressive their attack was prior to the injury with three first half goals.

Brisbane is much better than their last outing showed but Adelaide at home is a very tough out for any team and I won’t be taking them on.
