Australia have landed in a pool with hosts the United States, Canada and China in the second round of the women’s rugby sevens world series.
The Wallaroos were on Wednesday drawn in Pool A for the competition in Atlanta, avoiding the so-called pool of death, which features New Zealand, England, Ireland and the Netherlands in Pool B.
Pool C includes Russia, Spain, Brazil and Japan.
The February 15 and 16 tournament follows on from a first round in Dubai in November, when Australia stunned the inaugural series winners New Zealand 35-27 in the final to claim their first title.
