It’s only fitting that the Thunder and Heat should meet in ‘The Eliminator’ after both sides somehow snuck into the finals picture earlier in the week.

Brisbane has strung together four wins from its last five games, while the Thunder booked a spot with a three-wicket win over the Stars on Wednesday.

These two sides have met twice this season, the Thunder winning on both occasions.

Alex Hales and James Bazley were the stars of the show respectively, but we have seen the Thunder struggle against Colin Munro in both outings.

Neither team inspires a great deal of confidence, but on paper, I think the Heat hold a slight advantage with the bat given Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne will open.

Brisbane has picked up a couple of gritty victories away from home in Adelaide and Melbourne recently, so I think the value about the Heat is tough to ignore.
