The Sydney Derby is always a highlight on the Big Bash calendar, and if this one turns out anything like the first clash on Boxing Day, we should be in for a treat.

The Sixers prevailed that day by 30 runs, largely thanks to a half-century from Daniel Hughes and 41 not-out from Dan Christian.

The Sixers have gone on to win three of their five games since, while the Thunder have also been in red-hot form losing just once to the Hurricanes on Thursday.

Like the market suggests, this game really is a coin flip, but I think that loss to the ‘Canes is exactly what the Thunder needed.

The middle order struggled after Matthew Gilkes was dismissed for only one run, but with a strong 5-2 record on the back of a loss over the last 12 months, I really like the Thunder to respond here with some revenge in mind.
