Preview:
Long the Big Bash serial underperformers, the Melbourne Renegades overcame their poor history to win a maiden Big Bash title last season and there is no reason that they won’t be a leading contender once again. There is probably no side in the competition that is better balanced and they do have a fair amount of depth with both bat and ball. The signing of the in-form Shaun Marsh could prove crucial and he offers a huge amount of support to captain Aaron Finch. Kane Richardson was arguably the best bowler in the Big Bash last season and he will lead the attack again, while he will receive strong support from the likes of Harry Gurney and Cameron Boyce. $6.50 seems around the right mark for another Renegades title and it would be a surprise if they didn’t feature in the finals.
