Race 1 – 12:03pm – 2 YO Plate (1200m)

The opening race of the afternoon is stacked full of debutants and on the heavy track, I’m happy to sit back and watch.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 1

Race 2 – 12:38pm – Country Cups Challenge (1600m)

Rather Salubrious put together back to back wins at Dalby and Yeppoon to earn a shot in the Listed Keith Noud last start.

He was well beaten in that event but will appreciate the step back in class for this assignment.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 2

Race 3 – 1:13pm – Eagle Way (2000m)

The Tony Gollan trained Ashgrove was dominant when winning his maiden at Doomben on the soft track by three lengths last start.

The son of Dundeel will take plenty of benefit from that run and the step up to 2000m will suit him down to a tee.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 3

Race 4 – 1:48pm – Country Stampede Final (1110m)

Patented comes into the Country Stampede Final having won two of his last three starts including a one length win at Roma over 1000m last start.

He’s had one go on the heavy for a win and he should go straight to the front and be tough to run down.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 4

Race 5 – 2:28pm – Winning Rupert Plate (1200m)

Wardaddy won his maiden at Taree by over four lengths back in June and has been impressive without winning in two runs this prep so far.

The Kris Lees trained three year old laps up the wet conditions and has drawn to get a lovely run in transit from barrier four.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 5

Race 6 – 3:08pm – Quality Handicap (2000m)

So You Win has returned two nice effort so far this prep and the son of So You Think gets out to a more suitable distance now at his third run.

He meets the Mooloolaba Cup winner Wapiti 2.5kgs better at the weights for this race and he represents good each way value.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 6

Race 7 – 3:48pm – Listed Recognition Stakes (1350m)

The Recognition Stakes has been pushed back a week but my thoughts remain the same as they did last week.

Old Niccanova has been a beauty for connections, winning over $1.1 million in prize money over his 42 starts career.

His first up effort in the Keith Noud was full of merit, after he found clear running he found the line really well to finish within two lengths of Tambo’s Mate.

On the plus side, his record on the heavy track is excellent the small field will suit.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 7

Race 8 – 4:28pm – Listed Eureka Stud (1200m)

Miami Fleiss is an exciting mare who has won four of her six career starts.

The Tony Gollan trained four year old mare was excellent in a recent trial at Doomben and if she is not scratched due to the constant rain in Brisbane, she is every chance in this event.

Glitter Strip is well over the odds at $41 in this event.

She showed a good turn of foot when she came from last to run fourth in the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic at Eagle Farm during the winter.

While she looked very green during her last campaign, if she has matured since, she can run a nice race at big odds.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 8

Race 9 – 5:10pm – Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m)

Zoustyle could not have been any more impressive when winning by almost two lengths in the Swiss Ace Plate first up from a spell.

He is a very exciting and lightly raced six year old with a huge amount of upside who has now managed eight wins from 12 career starts.

Having won all five of his starts at Doomben and he will take plenty of benefit from his last start.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 9

Race 10 – 5:48pm – Listed Mode Stakes (1200m)

This is a tough way to end the day with many winning chances in the last.

Rhapsody Rose is a filly with some ability and her win at Eagle Farm by 2.5 lengths last start was hard to ignore.

She should be nearing peak fitness at this stage in her prep and looks the one to beat.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 10
