Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux draws well in Arima Kinen

Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux will jump from gate six in the Grade One Arima Kinen at Nakayama.

The field for Sunday’s 2500m-race in Japan is decided by public vote with Lys Gracieux polling the second highest number behind champion Almond Eye.

Australian jockey Damian Lane will continue his association with the mare after being granted a special one-day licence.

Almond Eye is the early favourite and has barrier nine for Christophe Lemaire.

Visiting English jockey Ryan Moore rides Kiseki from gate 11 while newly crowned British champion Oisin Murphy is on Japan Cup winner Suave Richard who has barrier two.
