Caulfield Guineas favourite Long John has been the best backed runner in the Group 1 feature with Sportingbet in the past 24 hours firming from $4.40 into $4.

“We’re keen to take him on from barrier 1 as it could be a disadvantage by race 10 but the punters have worn us down,” Sportingbet’s Michael Felgate said.
“They’ve backed a few in the race but the strongest push has been for Long John and it seems to be getting stronger.”
New Zealand colt El Roca has also had support firming from $9 into $7 after drawing barrier 2 while Peter Moody’s Dissident has been backed from $10 into $8.
“We think Dissident is the horse to beat and expect more money to come for him. He’s following the same path as All Too Hard did last year and his form around Zoustar looks outstanding.” Felgate said.
Punters have dropped off Prince Harada since drawing barrier 12 on Tuesday, his price easing from $4.80 out to $5.50. Éclair Big Bang has been solid in the market at $8.
