Preview:

The Tigers are coming off a 34 point loss to Carlton in their debut last week and despite being able to keep the Blues at bay early on – the experience of the Carlton outfit was simply too good for them as was evident in the third quarter.

The floodgates opened and Carlton piled on four unanswered goals and Richmond never stood a chance.

Richmond didn’t score a goal until midway in the fourth quarter when high prized recruit Sabrina Fredrick had the honour of kicking the first AFLW goal for the Tigers.

The Gold Coast Suns had a baptisim of fire, and by fire, we mean torrential rain.

The Suns women were able to give GWS an almighty scare and missed out on winning by one singular point.

Brittany Perry had the honour of kicking the first (and only) goal for the Suns women and they spent the first half of the match in front.

Despite playing a team that was an original AFLW side in the Giants the Suns showed they could really make a go of it.

Both sides will relish the opportunity to play on Metricon Stadium and this game will most likely be another slog and low scoring contest with both sides finding their feet.

Richmond go into this match favorite but with the line of (+7.5) the Gold Coast Suns getting close to them makes for excellent value.
