Reigning premiers Brisbane will look to recover from their Round 1 shocker as they play host to Carlton on the Sunshine Coast.

The Lions went down to the Crows by 30-points, scoring just the one goal for the entire match during the last quarter.

It was truly a Barry Crocker put in by the Lions, who were outpaced and outskilled by the Crows in the Round 1 meeting of last seasons Grand Finalists.

As is the case for many AFLW teams, injury has the better of them with key pair Kate Lutkins (knee) and Dakota Davidson (ankle) out of action.

While the Lions open as $1.45 favourites, don’t discount the Blues chances in this clash.

Carlton was competitive for most of their game against the Magpies last week, despite going down by 19 points.
However, turnovers and costly errors such as three 50 meter penalties during the game gifted their opposition goals.

We should expect Brisbane to bounce back in this one, but it should be a close contest.
