Brisbane booked its spot in the finals with a thrilling six-run win over the Scorchers on Australia Day, a victory that helped inspire the Heat to two remarkable over the Strikers and the Thunder last weekend.
Perth, meanwhile, missed out on a chance to advance to the final after losing by a miserable nine wickets to the Sixers in Saturday’s qualifier.
