The Sydney Roosters will be looking to turn their season around with a crucial prime-time clash against cross-town rivals, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, at Accor Stadium on Friday night. After a tough start to 2025, the Roosters are hoping to bounce back following a shock loss to the Titans, snapping their 11-match winning streak over them despite leading 12-8 with 20 minutes to go. The Rabbitohs, under Wayne Bennett, have made a strong start, winning three of their first four matches, including a dominant 28-18 victory over the Panthers last week after leading 28-0. Souths will be bolstered by the return of Latrell Mitchell, who makes his comeback from injury, but in a new position – the centres – with Jye Gray keeping the fullback role.
