Moment Of Change has jumped into VRC Sprint Classic contention following an impressive run in the Manikato Stakes on Friday night at Moonee Valley.

Buffering claimed his first Group one win, while Lucky Nine ran a solid second. But it was Moment of Change who made the biggest move in Betstar’s VRC Sprint Classic market, shortening from $17 into $7.
“I was glad to see Buffering finally get his well deserved Group one victory, but the farcical tempo up front gifted him the win,” Betstar’s Alan Eskander said.
“The clear run of the race I thought was Moment Of Change. After missing the kick by a length-and-a-half he’s managed to run home magnificently for fourth, which was extremely difficult to do when battling a slow early tempo.”
“Lucky Nine ran well for second, and with the benefit of his second-up record in the VRC Sprint we’ve shortened him from $7 into $5. Moment Of Change has been the big mover, being $17 into $7. His record down the Flemington straight and his massive run tonight, makes him the one to watch going into the VRC Sprint for me.”
Meanwhile Buffering has firmed from $9.50 into $8 for the VRC Sprint Classic, while Manikato Stakes favourite Samaready has drifted from $9 out to $13 after a disappointing run.
Zoustar is still the $4.80 favourite for the formerly named Patinack Farm Classic, ahead of Lucky Nine and Moment of Change.
