Fremantle Dockers vs Western Bulldogs Preview
The Western Bulldogs will head to Fremantle on Sunday afternoon riding a wave of positivity, despite missing several key players. The Bulldogs moved to 2-1 for the season with a gritty 83-75 win over Carlton last Friday, even without Marcus Bontempelli, Adam Treloar, Cody Weightman, and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, none of whom will return for this match. Fremantle, meanwhile, secured their first win of 2025 with a 106-68 victory over West Coast, but it has done little to ease the mounting pressure on head coach Justin Longmuir. Last season, the Dockers won both encounters between these sides, claiming a 95-71 victory at Optus Stadium behind Caleb Serong’s 37 disposals and 17 clearances, while the Bulldogs responded with a dominant 149-82 win at Marvel Stadium, fueled by Bontempelli’s 30 disposals, 15 score involvements, and three goals. The Bulldogs will be keen to extend their good form, even in the absence of their star players.
