Crows delist two AFL players

Adelaide have made two more changes after the AFL trade period, delisting Ian Callinan and Nick Joyce.

Callinan, 30, made his senior debut three years ago and played 32 games for the Crows.

Joyce, 20, did not play any senior games in two years at Adelaide.

“We wish Ian and Nick all the best and thank them for their service to Adelaide,” said Crows list manager David Noble.

“In particular, I’d like to congratulate Ian, who refused to give up on his AFL dream and thoroughly deserved his chance to play at the highest level, even if it did come much later than he had hoped.”

“His contribution on and off the field was much appreciated and valued.”

Callinan joined the Crows through the 2011 rookie draft and was elevated to their senior list at the end of last season.

The Crows recruited Carlton free agent Eddie Betts and Geelong forward James Podsiadly, while midfielder Bernie Vince was traded to Melbourne and Graham Johncock retired.
