World No.21 Dustin Johnson has made a topsy-turvy start to the $2 million Perth International, carding five birdies and three bogeys in his opening 13 holes.
Johnson is one shot off the pace at two-under, with England’s Sam Little, Korea’s Jin Jeong, and Australian duo Nick Cullen and Rohan Blizard all leading the way.
Nick O’Hern and star amateur Brady Watt join Johnson at two-under, while defending champion Bo van Pelt and Australian Brett Rumford are one shot further back.
