ROWING

Women’s Coxless Four – Gold

BET: Ireland at $5.50

Australia are the hot favourites to win gold here but they look a major risk. They won the world champs in 2019 but with an entirely different crew. They posted the best time in the heat but only just off the up-and-coming Ireland crew, who have emerged as a major player on the European scene in recent years. Look plenty of value at $5.50.

Men’s Double Sculls – Gold

BET: Hugo Boucheron and Matthieu Androdias (FRA) at $2.50

This event is typically been a volatile affair in recent years but 2018 World Champions Hugo Boucheron and Matthieu Androdias look outstanding value here. They knocked off China in their heat and did claim the European Championship and the first World Cup this year. Plenty of disrespect in this price.

Women’s Double Sculls – Gold

BET: Nicoleta Bodnar and Simona Radnis (ROU) at $5.50

The Romanian crew of Nicoleta Bodnar and Simona Radnis are unquestionably the team to beat here. They raced in sizzling time to post the best heat trial, they were excellent running a close second at the 2019 World Champs, they have a World Cup win this year and they dominated the Dutch by 6s winning the European Championship this year.

FENCING

Men’s Team Sabre – Gold

BET: Italy at $6.00

Italy look well overpriced here. They have the No.3 Sabre wielder in the world in Luca Curatoli as well as silver medalist in the individual here in Luigi Samele. The Koreans have more depth but this will be a lot closer competition than betting suggests.

SWIMMING

Womens 200m Freestyle – Medal

BET: Yang Juanxuan (CHN) at $4.33

The women’s 200m free looks a race in two and after she swept to victory in the 400m, Ariarne Titmus is the clear standout over Katie Ledecky. Just as clear for the third best swimmer in the race is China’s Yang Junxuan, who is an incredible $2.50 to medal. She swam 1.54.57 in the Chinese National Championships this year, the only other competitor to swim sub-1.54.85 this year.

Womens 100m Freestyle – Gold

BET: Emma McKeon (AUS) at $1.72

Australian McKeon swam a 52.19 this year in the trials, the eighth fastest time of all-time and has broken 52.35 three times this year. Her main challenger Cate Campbell has not swam faster than 52.43. She looks a good thing.

Womens 1500m Freestyle – Gold

BET: Katie Ledecky (USA) at $1.08

One for the multis. Ledecky has the 11 fastest times in history. She swam 6s faster than anyone in the heats and 11s faster than the third top trial.
