NRL Round 6 Odds, Match Betting and Markets – 2021

The Sharks odds of beating Newcastle on Friday night have drifted with TAB in the wake of John Morris’ departure as coach.

Newcastle have been the big movers in the market following the coaching dramas in the Shire, moving from $2.55 into $1.85 since Sunday night, while Cronulla has gone from $1.50 favourites to $1.90 as Josh Hannay steps in as interim coach before Craig Fitzgibbon takes over in 2022.

TAB has taken a bet of $2,000 on the Knights at $2.20.

  • TAB is bracing for a new Broncos record after Brisbane equalled their longest ever Head-to-Head price. Brisbane have drifted from $10 out to $12 to cause an upset over the unbeaten Panthers at $1.02 with the line of 27.5. The last time they were underdogs of that size was against the Roosters in round 16 last year, a match they lost 58-12.
  • Brett Morris has been backed heavily to continue his remarkable try-scoring record against the Storm. Bets of $4,000 at $2.50 and $3,600 at $2.50 have been taken for the flying finisher to add to his tally of 11 tries in 15 games against Melbourne. He has 11 tries from 5 matches so far this season and is $3 to finish top try scorer after opening at $34.
  • The Dragons resurgence is being felt at TAB with two separate bets of $1,500 and $1,000 for them to win the premiership at $34. They were $81 following their round one defeat to Cronulla and are $1.48 favourites to make it five wins in a row, when they face the Warriors ($2.60) at Kogarah on Sunday.
