Support for smart three-year-old Star Turn has gathered momentum and he is the punters’ pick for tomorrow night’s William Reid Stakes.
Star Turn had trouble gaining backers when online bookmaker sportsbet opened betting on the Moonee Valley Group 1.
However, that has now switched with Star Turn firming from $4.60 into $4.40 favourite.
Oakleigh Plate winner Sheidel commands second spot on $4.80 ahead of the Darren Weir trained Hellbent ($7.50).
Illustrious Lad also has plenty of admirers and his quote has tightened from $13 into $11.
Last year’s winner Flamberge is unwanted and has eased from $13 out to $16.
