<p style=”text-align: left;”>The Royal Ascot carnival for 2012 starts tomorrow at Ascot racecourse in England. Tomorrow we see Frankel race in the first against Caulfield Guineas winner Helmet as well as Ortensia running in the 23 horse King’s Stand Stakes. View my tips and selections for tomorrow’s racing.<!–more–>

Queen Anne Stakes (Group 1):

The Royal Ascot carnival will start with the shortest priced favourite of the 5 days of racing where we see Frankel take on what looks like inferior competition to stretch his unbeaten record and give his admirers four days to vouch that he is the world’s best horse. There isn’t a horse that can beat him in the field and looks an easy winner if you want to take the very short odds on offer ($1.12). Caulfield Guineas winner Helmet goes around in the same race and is currently at a quote of $41.

King’s Stand Stakes (Group 1):

This years King’s Stand Stakes is made up of by a field of 23 horses including Australian owned and trained Ortensia who is currently the race favourite with Australian bookmakers and should see good support from patriotic Australian’s. Ortensia is Australia’s first real winning chance over the carnival although with her short quote compared to international bookmakers im going to try and find some value with my selection Little Bridge who is currently at $12, has won his last two races at Sha Tin impressively and looks to be a solid each way bet.

St James’s Palace Stakes (Group 1):

Power looks to be the horse to beat in the field having won 5 of his 8 starts and running 2nd on two occasions although again im going to go for some value in The Nile who should jump around the mid teens. The Nile is a lightly raced 3YO with just the three starts, he jumps up in class here but looks like he should be able to match it with this field. His only win was on the all weather track where he thrashed the field, but has shown he can race on the turf with two placings. He looks to be the runner who could run a big race at odds.

Coventry Stakes (Group 2):

The Coventry Stakes looks to be a very tough race on paper to predict, most of the runners go into the race with less than three starts and nine runners have yet to lose. I am going with Lines Of Battle who should jump at each way odds. He won well on debut and trainer Aidan O’Brien will have him ready for this race. The dangers look to be Dawn Approach, Sir Prancealot and Funk Soul Brother.
<p style=”text-align: center;”>$250 FREE BET

Ascot Stakes (Handicap):

The Ascot Stakes which looks to be the most open race of the day looks to be a lottery. Al Khawanjee has been installed as favourite for the race but he wont be holding my money. Im going to go with Simenon who won well last start and should continue that winning form tomorrow.
<p style=”text-align: center;”>$250 FREE BET

Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed):

The last race of the day doesn’t get any easier for punters with another open race for 2yo’s. The current favourite is Lyric Ace who has been impressive his last two starts but im going to go with the second favourite Pay Freeze. Pay Freeze trained by Mick Channon was very impressive last start and looks one of the better win bets of the day.
