Australia to host international rules

Australia will host two Tests next year as the AFL’s international rules matches against Ireland return.

The concept has had a turbulent history and it was put on hold this year after single Tests in 2014 and ’15.

The AFL website reported that the series would be played over the week of November 11-18, with the venues to be determined.

The AFL will again field a team made up entirely of All-Australian players.

There are also plans for a 2018 two-Test series in Ireland, but as yet there have been no announcements about exhibition games in the United States.
