Queensland coach Mal Meninga has retained his winning team for the second State of Origin rugby league clash with NSW in Sydney on Wednesday week.
Meninga on Tuesday announced the same side that beat the Blues 18-10 in Melbourne in game one to move within one win of a seventh straight series victory.
The only new face in the Maroons squad is Brisbane back-rower Corey Parker who replaces Manly playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans as Queensland’s 18th man.
Queensland coach Mal Meninga said Parker was on standby for prop Matt Scott whose availability was up in the air due to family health issues.
Meninga said the North Queensland forward was with family but hoped he would enter the Queensland camp on Thursday.
“He wants to play but it depends on what happens with his family – family comes first,” Meninga said.
The Queensland coach also revealed lock Ashley Harrison was battling a groin complaint.
Queensland: Billy Slater, Darius Boyd, Greg Inglis, Justin Hodges, Brent Tate, Johnathan Thurston, Cooper Cronk, Matt Scott, Cameron Smith (capt), Petero Civoniceva, Nate Myles, Sam Thaiday, Ashley Harrison. Interchange: Matt Gillett, Dave Taylor, Ben Hannant, David Shillington. 18th man: Corey Parker.
