Melbourne Storm vs Gold Coast Titans – 2012 NRL Round 23 preview

The Melbourne Storm snapped an unbelievable five game losing streak in emphatic style last week by trouncing the Panthers by 40 points.

They were back to their clinical best and the Storm, currently third on the ladder, can firmly entrench themselves in the top four with a win here.

Melbourne continued their dominance over the Gold Coast in round three of this year winning 30-6. Last season, both encounters resulted in easy victories to the Storm (40-12 and 40-16).

The Titans have continued to improve this year and recent efforts over the last month, where they’ve won three of four, have been full of merit.

Greg Bird has been named on the bench and for the Titans to get the better of the Storm, would think it imperative that he be in the starting line-up.

Sportsbet Head to Head – Melbourne $1.38, Gold Coast 3.10

Now that the Storm have the winning feeling back, at home with the unchanged line-up, they’ll be too strong for the Titans and will be a big chance of cover the 8 point line @ $1.90.
