West Coast Eagles vs Geelong Cats – 2012 AFL Round 20 preview

West Coast were beaten by 65 points by ninth place Fremantle in their local derby last week, making it three loses from their last four starts. Their only win in the last month came over the struggling Brisbane Lions.

Things won’t getting any easier for the Eagles this week who face an inform Geelong Cats outfit who are coming off an enthralling two point win over Premiership favourites, Hawthorn.

This win made it five wins from the last seven starts for the Cats, with the two defeats coming at the hands of the highly regarded Sydney and Collingwood sides.

Geelong have had the better of their opponents over recent times, winning seven of the last nine encounters. On both occasions that West Coast did register a victory, they did so by narrow margins of eight and three points.

The market has little between the pair despite the stats and recent form pointing favourably in the direction of the Cats.
