South Sydney prop Sam Burgess is a confirmed starter for tonight’s NRL clash with Cronulla at ANZ Stadium.

The England international will start on the bench for the home side after passing a last-minute fitness test.

Burgess’s return is a huge boost to a Rabbitohs side looking to cement their spot in the top eight and end the Sharks’ impressive six-match winning streak.

Burgess returns earlier than expected from a knee injury which had sidelined him for three matches.
