2012 NRL Round 23 teams, inclusions and changes

Round 23 of the NRL is almost with us, and like always, there has been lots of changes to team line-ups over the week. South Sydney clash with Manly on Friday night, and the Rabbitohs will be boosted with the inclusion of Issac Luke on the bench and Roy Asotasi as 19th man. However, Greg Inglis is still under suspension until round 24. The Sea Eagles lose Darcy Lussick until round 25 due to suspension, while Dean Whare, Tim Robinson, and Jason King are all inclusions.

The Melbourne Storm take on the Gold Coast Titans this round, with the Storm adding Rory Kostjasyn to an extended bench. The Titans are in a similar position with regard to player stock, losing no-one and adding star forward Greg Bird as the 18th man. The Titans have also benefited from the inclusion of Ashley Harrison, while Nate Myles continues to play despite carrying a sternum injury.

The Parramatta Eels play the Sydney Roosters on Saturday, with no changes to the Eels line-up whatsoever. The Roosters have lost Aidan Guerra due to an ankle injury however, with Nafe Seluini dropped from the side. The Roosters do gain some talent as well however, with Daniel Mortimer, Jack Bosden, and Lama Tasi all in for the clash against the Eels.

Wests Tigers vs St George Dragons is another clash this weekend, with the Tigers also not experiencing any changes. Things are moving around a bit at the Dragons however, with star five-eighth Jamie Soward back in the fold along with Jack Stockwell. Cameron King has been dropped to make way, with Jack Stockwell added to the team list as 18th man.

North Queensland Cowboys take on the NZ Warriors this round, with no-one leaving the Cowboys fold. However, both Ricky Thorby and Anthony Mitchell have found their way into the team. The Warriors are going through some injury changes at the moment, with James Maloney out with a knee injury and Ben Matulino out with a pectoral injury until round 26.

Penrith Panthers vs Canberra Raiders kicks-off on Sunday afternoon, with the Panthers adding David Simmons, Dayne Weston, and Danny Galea to their line-up. Both Shane Shackleton and Travis Robinson are out however, with Luke Lewis’ neck injury keeping him on the sidelines. The Raiders have added Jarrad Kennedy and Bronson Harrison to their extended squad, with Joe Picker also in doubt due to concussion.

Canterbury Bulldogs play the Brisbane Broncos in the final game of the round, with Kris Keating returning to the Bulldogs side at halfback after a hamstring injury. The Broncos add Justin Hodges and Dunamis Lui to the line-up, with Corey Parker out with an AC joint injury and Alex Glenn out with a hamstring, probably not back until the finals.
