After a very successful day yesterday with three winners from the six races including two at double figure odds. Today’s racing is again a hard day to analyse but there seems to be some good valued bets available. View my tips and selections for Royal Ascot Day 2.

Race 1 – 2.30 pm Jersey Stakes (Group 3) 3 £70,000 7f:
A tough race to start the day, plenty of winning chances although im going to stick with my form from yesterday and go with Aljamaaheer. I tipped The Nile to win the St James’s Palace Stakes and he was travelling well until he broke down. Aljamaaheer beat The Nile last start thus should be very hard to beat today.
Race 2 – 3.05 pm Windsor Forest Stakes (Group 2) 4+ fillies £100,000 1m:
Looks to be a race in three those being Emulous, Nahrain and Chachamaidee. I’m going to go with Nahrain, she is the lightest raced runner of the three and should still be improving. Has won 4 times from 5 starts including a Group 1. Her run last start was very good for a 2nd and i feel she will take a lot of beating.
Race 3 – 3.45 pm Prince of Wales’s Stakes (Group 1) 4+ £400,000 1.25m:
The shortest priced favourite all day will be So You Think and the one time Australian champion horse should be too good for these. The only horse that could go close is Carlton House, if you are worried have a savour on the quinella.
Race 4 – 4.25 pm Royal Hunt Cup (Heritage Handicap) 3+ £100,000 1m:
A very good betting race if you like any of the 30 runners. I’m going to look for a bit of value in Cai Shen who is currently $15 with Sportsbet which i feel is a very good each way bet. Although with 30 horses luck is going to play a pivotal factor in how the race turns out.
Race 5 – 5.00pm Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2) 2 fillies £75,000 5f:
The fifth race on the card is a Group 2 for 2YO’s. There looks to be some nice horses in the field, im warming to the Mick Channon trained Jillnextdoor who has been sent out favourite in both of her starts and only narrowly beaten on both occasions. I think she should have improved from the two runs and will be right in the finish at good each way odds.
Race 6 – 5.35 pm Sandringham Stakes (Listed) (Handicap) 3 fillies £50,000 1m:
The last race on today’s Royal Ascot card wont bring any value for punters in my opinion the two horses that head the betting market (Duntle and Electrelane) look to be great hopes in this Listed race. Out of the two im leaning towards Electrelane, his last start Group 2 win was very good and i feel he can improve from that run so stepping back to the listed race should provide him with another win, he is currently a $8 chance with sportsbet.
