The feature meeting in Australia on Saturday will be run at Warwick Farm for the Randwick Guineas day meeting which black type racing throughout every race on the card.

The feature race is the Group 1 Randwick Guineas which looks to be a very competitive race with both star three year olds bypassing the race although the Canterbury Stakes has probably brought in the most interest with the return of star galloper Hay List who will be returning from close to a year break.

Overall the weather looks to be kind for racegoers and it shapes up to be a great days racing.

Race One: Randwick City Stakes 2200m Form Guide

Back Me: Permit will carry the top weight but he is the class runner of the race. He ran very well last start wth 59kg on a heavy track and coming back to a firmer ground will suit him in a race that he looks hard to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Marden won last start after a run of placings. He is very consistant although his winning record is poor and finds a tougher field on Saturday.
Big Danger: Tremec ran a strong race against Award Season last weekend and should be able to improve on that run and with the low weight will be hard to catch.
Roughie: French Gift steps up in class on Saturday but drop 6kg on his last run which wasnt bad in a decent Newcastle race. At his current odds of $26 looks good value in the small field.

Race Two: Skyline Stakes 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Good Job Bro got the money last start with a very impressive win in the heavy going. Has proven he is just as good on top of the ground when beaten narrowly by Guelph. In a tough race he looks the one to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Dothraki won its last race although the form coming out of that hasn’t been great and other runners in this race seem to have his measure.
Big Danger: Fuerza has run second in his two starts but hasn’t had any favours and could quite easily win this race.
Roughie: You can put a line through Citations last run on the heavy. Has done a lot wrong in his races and if he can put it together on Saturday could improve.

Race Three: Eskimo Prince Stakes 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Knight Exemplar is likely to go back in what looks to be a quickly run race here and should be finishing very strongly late which is why i have put him on top.
Don’t Back Me: Ichihara will have to carry the top weight and will likely be hassled in the lead which makes it tough seeing her win this race.
Big Danger: Heart Testa has won four from four and could quite easily continue his unbeaten streak.
Roughie: Limes has finally started to put things together during his races and at $13 looks a good price in a very open field.

Race Four: Sweet Embrace Stakes 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Assail should jump well from barrier one and dictate the race in front. She has won two from two and looks very talented and should be winning on Saturday.
Don’t Back Me: On paper Calming Influence cannot beat Assail in this race, its not always the case but im happy to leave her out here.
Big Danger: Vocalise has won her only start in a race and should be able to get a spot one out one back on Saturday and have every chance at $17.
Roughie: Gretfilly ran in the Magic Millions Classic last start before going for a bit of a spell. she will go into Saturday’s race first up and should run well at double figure odds.

Race Five: Wenona Girl Qlty 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Choice Words is coming out of a good race won by Steps In Time and looks much better suited against this field and has been well backed in the market.
Don’t Back Me: Ladys Angel is a notable wet tracker so her last start is a bit generous when you take in to account it was on a heavy track. Happy to leave her out now that she is back to a dry trac with the top weight.
Big Danger: The big danger looks to be Miss Stellabelle who will be resuming on Saturday. She has run close to some quality horses such as Mosheen and looks to have a class advantage in this field.
Roughie: Embark is the likely leader in the race and drops 5.5kg from her last run in Melbourne and at $17 will give a goo sight for your money.

Race Six: Royal Randwick Guineas 1600m Form Guide

Back Me: The more i look at the race the more i like Proisir. He should be much better suited over the 1600m distance and should get a dream run from barrier three.
Don’t Back Me: Going out on a limb and saying Rebel Dane is under the odds. He ran very well behind Pierro last start but im wondering how much that run has taken out of him and could be a risk here over further which he is untried at.
Big Danger: They were going to be too quick first up for It’s A Dundeel last start but he ran a good fourth and with the extra distance should be right in this race at decent odds as well.
Roughie: Sacred Falls has won six from seven with his only loss coming against Rebel Dane which was his first Australian start. Will improve here and at $11 looks a great bet.

Race Seven: Challenge Stakes 1000m Form Guide

Back Me: Despite having a year off Hay List is very hard to go against. If he has returned nearly as good as what we have seen him run in the past he will win easily.
Don’t Back Me: Snitzerland was rather disappointing last preparation despite winning some rather weak races she hasn’t proven herself in a class field like this.
Big Danger: Tiger Tees always runs well first up and im expecting no different on Saturday. He had a couple of bad runs at the end of last preparation but im happy to rule the line through them.
Roughie: There was a massive boom around Howmuchdoyouloveme over the Spring but things went horribly wrong during the latter part of that preparation. Has won three from three first up and i think he can return to his best.

Race Eight: Sharp Aspiration Qlty 1600m Form Guide

Back Me: Thy is a very smart galloper and her first up run was very good. She always improves second up and she is the horse leading into this race that can improve the most and looks very good odds.
Don’t Back Me: Fibrillation can put in a big run on occasion although she doesn’t often win. I thought she would be double her current odds thus i will be leaving her out.
Big Danger: A tough race to finish the day at Warwick Farm but Jade Marauder looks a key runner in the race with strong form around Benetta and Dear Demi. Has to overcome a wide barrier but should have the class edge over the field.
Roughie: Sables can run very well on her day although that is quite rare but you wont but a much better $67 shot on Saturday anywhere in Australia.

Best Bet: Everything points to Proisir winning the Randwick Guineas on Saturday and punters agree with me and have backed the Gai Waterhouse runner so i am making him my best bet of the day.

Next Best: Hay List is a class above this field and if he can return healthy and fit from the long duration off he will win this race and you may not find better odds for him in the remander of his runs.

Best Roughie: Thy i think will improve immensely from her first up run and in an average quality field should be too good for them.
