Support for Toowoomba three-year-old Tinto is gaining momentum for Saturday’s Oaks at Eagle farm.
Spirit Of Boom led home a Queensland trifecta in the Doomben 10,000 and Tinto is hoping to repeat the dose. Online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au has the filly at $9.00 behind favourite Arabian Gold ($2.25).
“Tinto was never going to beat Arabian Gold last start, but she did make up a lot of ground. Obviously punters think she will handle the 2400m because she’s had some solid backing,’’ Sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.
Despite some doubts, Telepathic is on the second line of betting at $6.00 while some money for Rock Diva has seen her firm in from $8.00 to $7.00.
