The accolades keep coming for veteran golfer Peter Senior, who was inducted as a PGA of Australia life member at the association’s AGM on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old was honoured alongside Leonard Thomas and Arnold Victorsen, joining an illustrious list that includes Greg Norman, Norman Von Nida and Jack Newton.
For Senior, the news comes just days after he fired a stunning final-round 63 to finish tied for fourth at the Senior US PGA Championship in Michigan.
Senior’s distinguished career includes 20 Australian titles, with his most recent coming at the 2010 Australian PGA Championship in Coolum after a playoff victory over Geoff Ogilvy.
Thomas, who won three West Australian Opens during the 1960s, has continued his life-long involvement in the game following his retirement by helping to promote golf in Indonesia, Fiji and China.
Victorsen, who passed away in 2000 and was represented at the ceremony by family members, received his nomination for his dedication to grassroots golf in Queensland throughout his life.
