Australian golfer Katherine Hull found some timely form as she claimed a runner-up finish on the US LPGA Tour.
Preparing for next week’s major, the LPGA Championship, Hull hung on to finish four shots behind American winner Stacy Lewis in the ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey.
Hull shot a closing three-under-par 68 to finish at eight-under 205, claiming the second prize by one stroke from Japan’s Mika Miyazato (68) and Spain’s Azahara Munoz (69).
Lewis was able to shoot 71 and still win comfortably after starting the tournament with back to back 65s.
Hull’s countrywoman Karrie Webb finished back in the pack on 212.
