South Africa roar back in 1st England Test

South Africa roared back into the first Test at The Oval by reducing England to 7-326 at lunch on day two on Friday.

England had resumed in a commanding position at 3-267.

Dale Steyn, who has 2-70, took two wickets in seven balls including Alastair Cook, who was bowled for 115, having added just a single to his overnight total.

Steyn also had Ravi Bopara caught behind for 0.

Jacques Kallis, who has 2-38, bowled Ian Bell for 13 before Imran Tahir bowled Tim Bresnan for 8.

England’s wicketkeeper Matt Prior and Stuart Broad survived until lunch on 32 and 8 respectively.
