Tigers’ Houli signs new deal with AFL club

Richmond running defender Bachar Houli has re-signed with the AFL club until the end of 2014.

The 24-year-old has proved an excellent recruit for the Tigers since they snared the former Essendon player in the pre-season draft ahead of last season.

Having played just 26 games in four years for the Bombers, he played every match for the Tigers last year and came fourth in the club’s best and fairest count.

“He is one of our hardest-working players, and has been rewarded with his success so far at the club,” Tigers general manager of football Craig Cameron said.

“He is a fantastic leader around the place and a role model in the community.”
