Adelaide ruckman Shaun McKernan will miss six AFL games with facial fractures.

McKernan suffered three fractures in his face in a marking contest last Saturday night, but doctors have opted against surgery, the Crows said on Monday.

Key forward Kurt Tippett is doubtful for Sunday’s away fixture against Greater Western Sydney.

Tippett was concussed for the second time in three games, but the Crows hope small forwards Jared Petrenko (foot) and Ian Callinan (calf) will return from injury.
