Collingwood midfielder Luke Ball will miss the rest of the AFL season after he ruptured the ACL in his knee.
Magpies football manager Geoff Walsh has confirmed that scans on Saturday showed Ball would need season-ending surgery.
Ball suffered the injury during Friday night’s big loss to Carlton at the MCG.
