We’re back to Ladbrokes Park Sandown on Wednesday, February 9th, and eight races are on the program.
The rail will remain in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range.

Race 1 – 3:40pm – Ladbrokes Odds Boost Plate (1300m)
Ocean Raider has improved for three starts since debuting, and he can break his maiden at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The Ocean Park gelding finished midfield here on debut in December, and he has kept his best work for late when finishing in the minors of his last two.
He steps out this week at peak fitness and has options from the rails draw.

Race 2 – 4:15pm – Ladbroke It! Handicap (1000m)
Less than a handful of horses will contest the second at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday and I am going take on the favourite Morning Melody, as I think that Northern Melody is ready to win.
Northern Melody has had two starts since returning from a break, finishing fourth on both occasions.
Jamie Kah jumps into this saddle this week, and the filly should get every chance to strike.

Race 3 – 4:50pm – Ladbrokes Easy Form Handicap (1600m)
Attractable’s form since resuming this time has been outstanding, and he can return to winning form at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The I Am Invincible gelding broke his maiden in dominant fashion at Mornington when resuming, and he franked that performance with another win in Class 1 company here.
He takes his place in this contest following a credible third behind Decent Raine and Umgawa at Flemington, and this is a drop in class.

Race 4 – 5:25pm – Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Handicap (1400m)
This is one of the more open races on Wednesday’s program at Ladbrokes Park, and I am going to have something on Diamond Back each-way, returning from a break and a gelding.
The son of Frankel raced greenly on debut and finished down the order at Geelong in September, but he was too good for his rivals at the Yarra Valley before going for a break.
This is the hardest task that he has been set, but he has reportedly worked well in the lead-up to his return, and the booking of D. Oliver is positive.

Race 5 – 6:00pm – Stud And Stable Staff Awards Handicap (1000m)
Along The River is another galloper who looks well placed to bounce back at Ladbrokes Park this week.
Along The River got up by a head to break his maiden at Kilmore when resuming, and he has continued to race competitive as the bar has been raised; striking again here at Ladbrokes Peark before finishing a credible fifth in BM70 company at HQ on New Year’s Day.
He has been freshened and is another galloper whose winning claims have been enhanced by the booking of Jamie Kah.

Race 6 – 6:30pm – Ladbrokes Split Multis Handicap (1800m)
Into Rio failed to find his best over 3000m at The Valley last time, but he has been freshened since that effort, and he can have an impact in this sixth at Ladbrokes Park.
He has been a good galloper in metro company since his three-year-old season, and Into Rio has returned several eye-catching performances since transferring to the care of Chris Hyland.
He is drawn well, back to a more appropriate trip, and we can have an each-way play at around the $13 mark.

Race 7 – 7:00pm – Tile Importer Handicap (1600m)
Honeycreeper has improved for three competitive starts back this time, and she is ready to win at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The Godolphin-trained filly finished third in races at Warwick Farm at Flemington first and second-up this time, and beat all but the talented Delightful Journey at Cranbourne last time.
There isn’t a horse of that ability engaged this week, and the mile is ideal.

Race 8 – 7:30pm – IVE Print Handicap (1400m)
Over The Sky returned an eye-catching performance to finish second in a photo at Caulfield first-up, and he looks beautifully placed to strike at Sandown this evening.
The five-year-old son of Tavistock has been a strong and consistent performer since debuting, and he recorded consecutive wins at a similar grade last time in.
He gets some relief in the weights today under Thomas Stockdale, and his resuming effort suggested that he might have gone to another level this time in.
