The 5-3 Miami Dolphins have emerged as a genuine playoffs hope after a slow start to the season, claiming some handy scalps on their current four-game winning streak. Last week they accounted for the in-form Cardinals 34-31, with green QB Tua Tagovailoa (20/28, 248 yards, 2 TDs) producing a breakout performance.

The 2-6 LA Chargers are languishing at the bottom of the AFC West after losing their last two to the Broncos (31-30) and Raiders (31-26). The hapless Chargers thought they had a game-winning TD to Donald Parham Jr against the Raiders but the call was overturned. QB Justin Herbert turned in another highly promising display but the Chargers just can’t ice games.

The Dolphins have won four of the last six between these teams but the Chargers romped to a 30-10 victory in Miami last season.

The duel between the two 22-year-old quarterbacks is a mouth-watering one, but the Miami defence should have more of a say than their Charger counterparts here.
