Two of the season’s surprise overachievers come together in Phoenix. The 5-3 Arizona Cardinals are second in the super-competitive NFC West, while the 7-2 Buffalo Bills are leading the AFC East.

But the Cardinals are ruing a 34-31 loss to the Dolphins following their Week 8 bye, snapping a three-match winning streak that culminated in the scalp of the Seahawks. Kyler Murray passed for 283 yards and 3 TDs – as well as rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown – against Miami but they bewilderingly went for a 49-yard field goal attempt to try and force overtime.

The Bulls have won their last three, following up patchy division showdown victories over the Jets and Patriots with a 44-34 upset of the Seahawks. Young QB Josh Allen threw for 415 yards and 3 TDs and ran in a touchdown, putting a few subpar showings behind him and outplaying MVP favourite Russell Wilson, who was rattled by the Bills’ blitz.

The Bills have won six of their last seven against the Cardinals, who are slight favourites here. This one seems destined to go down to the wire, with the over shaping as a judicious option.
