The State of Origin will start early at the Doomben Cup, with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au opening a market on Queensland v the rest for Saturday’s race.

Much like the rugby league Queensland are the favourites, priced at $1.50 for any of Triple Honour, Manighar, Lights of Heaven, Scenic Shot, Mr Light Blue and Wall Street to win.

For the rest of the field to win has been priced at $2.55.
