Blown out at Houston last night, the Orlando Magic will look to bounce back when they continue their Texan road trip against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center. Orlando’s 132-90 loss at Toyota Center marked its equal-highest score conceded since April 6, 2018 and ruined what was a perfect 3-0 road record in 2020-21. Elsewhere, Dallas most recently won 124-117 after overtime at Denver. Luka Doncic was immense during that victory, recording 38 points and 13 assists, both of which are season-highs. The Mavericks have been similarly successful at home against the Magic in recent seasons, winning each of their last eight such contests. However, a boost to Orlando’s chances of snapping that streak will be the absences of Josh Richardson, Dorian Finney-Smith and Jalen Brunson (health and safety protocols).
