NRL investigates Norman over street fight

St George Illawarra star Corey Norman is being investigated by the NRL’s integrity unit for his alleged involvement in a street brawl in Cronulla on Friday night.

The incident was filmed by a bystander and aired by Channel 7 on Sunday showing a group of men pushing and shoving in an alley before punches are thrown.

It’s unknown what involvement the 29-year-old former State of Origin star had in the brawl, but the club is investigating along with the NRL.

An NRL spokesperson said: “the NRL Integrity Unit is aware of the video and investigating the matter.”

It’s understood former NRL player James Segeyaro was also involved in the incident.

No arrests were made and NSW Police had not received a complaint as of Monday morning.

Norman is in the final year of a lucrative three-year contract with the Dragons, where he has played 37 games since the start of 2019.

The Dragons have been contacted for comment but are yet to release a statement.
