Caulfield will host an eight race meeting on Saturday with the feature race being the Thoroughbred Club Cup which is a very competitive race with some quality horses contesting the race. Don’t Back Me: Gravitational ran on well in the Sires Produce Stakes but in the small field i feel there may not be a lot of speed and could be hard to run on.
Big Danger: San Diego put in a strong win last start after being headed to come back and win. It’s a tougher race on Saturday but in a small field he should have all the favours in front.
Roughie: It’s hard to see Mubakkir winning the race but should improve here and could run into the placings at big odds.

Race Two: Smart Track Australia 2000m Form Guide

Back Me: Auld Burns will carry the top weight in the race but with the 2kg claim looks well suited in this race after being scratched from the Albury Cup where he was well backed before the rain.
Don’t Back Me: Hula Lua has won her last two but both have been at Moonee Valley in easier fields. Looks a risk at the odds in this race.
Big Danger: Whisper Downs ran very well last start and should be able to improve from that run which would put him right in the mix in this race.
Roughie: Success Dostta has been running over the Tasman in some good quality races and will go into this race much better suited at $21 which looks good value.

Back Me: Platelet will have to carry the top weight but she looks to be a class above this field and looks to be decent value at $4.60.
Don’t Back Me: Elite Elle can definitely win the race but there is no way id be taking $2.10 for her in this race.
Big Danger: Spartini ran well in a tougher race last start and if she can get away well on Saturday should go close in this race.
Roughie: I thought Zippa The Rippa’s win last start was very good and she can definitely make it back to back wins on Saturday.

Back Me: Garud is an up and coming stayer and showed his class last preparation. He goes well first up and at $13 in the market he looks very good value in this race.
Don’t Back Me: Dubawi Gold won last start but jumps up a lot in class here and i doubt he can make it back to back wins.
Big Danger: British General is very consistant and he looks well placed in this race in which he looks the horse to beat.
Roughie: Westsouthwest was unlucky in Tasmania last start and looks well over the odds at $41 here.

Race Five: Winning Edge Cup 1400m Form Guide

Back Me: Dazzler i thought was perhaps the run of the race in the Security Stakes last start and she will improve with the extra distance here and looks very good value at $6.
Don’t Back Me: Real Delight won pretty well on debut on a heavy track. At her current odds im happy to risk her here against a decent quality field.
Big Danger: Pitch Perfect won very well last start at Moonee Valley and if she can replicate that run should be right in this.
Roughie: Sino Eagle looks the value runner of the race and was unlucky last start at Sandown. Get on now to secure the double figure odds.

Back Me: Gybe always runs well first up and gets into the weights here very well. Likely to go forward in the race which is an advantage at Caulfield and at $9.50 can be backed each way in a tough race.
Don’t Back Me: Ready To Rip always runs well and is a very good horse. He will need to carry 60kg in the race and from barrier 11 it will be hard to win.
Big Danger: Undeniably has raced in Group 1’s his previous two runs and went well in both of them. He finds a much easier task here and looks the horse to beat.
Roughie: Honey Flower is a very good horse and at $14 looks well over the odds here. Beat some very good horses last preparation and has to be included in your multiples.

Race Seven: Sportsed Handicap 1700m Form Guide

Back Me: Captura is coming out of a strong race last start where he was a bit unlucky and should have finished closer. Looks well placed here and doesn’t get too much weight from that run and at $6.50 you can bet each way with confidence.
Don’t Back Me: Xavi drops in weight from the Moonee Valley run but i dont like that as form race into what looks to be a pretty decent field here.
Big Danger: Aeraise won a strong race at Morphettville last start and put in some very good sectionals. Looks a very good chance here.
Roughie: Shiny Buttons has a class advantage over a lot of this field and despite carrying 60kg looks a good each way bet and a horse at odds to include into your quaddies.

Back Me: Petite Diablesse is coming out of two very good form races and despite the jump in weights looks the horse to beat in the last at Caulfield.
Don’t Back Me: Kerthos has won two from two but will have to overcome barrier 14 and top weight on Saturday and i think his win at Sandown was boosted by finishing in the better part of the track.
Big Danger: Royal Amati was unlucky last start and has been heavily backed for this race in which she looks the main danger.
Roughie: Bel Thor was unlucky in the race won by Kerthos getting back in the run and finishing in the worst part of the track keep him safe if you think Kerthos is a winning chance.

Best Bet: Dazzler looks a very good bet at her current odds at Caulfield on Saturday. Get on early as i expect her to shorten in betting.

Next Best: Despite having to carry the top weight i still think class will get Platelet over the line and looks good value with the favourite being so short.

Best Roughie: It looks a tough day at Caulfield but i think Garud is at very good odds in the Sky High Handicap. Definitely worth an each way bet.
