Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is home to the Golden Slipper, along with a number of other thoroughbred races held throughout the year. Rosehill Gardens has a long history associated with the Golden Slipper, with the inaugural event held back in 1957. Lots of famous horses, jockeys, and trainers have made a contribution to this famous event over the years, including many who have gone on to even bigger things in the Melbourne Cup and Cox Plate. Rosehill Racecourse is a turf, right handed track operated by the Australian Turf Club, who also host a number of other high profile thoroughbred races throughout the year. Along with the Golden Slipper, other Group 1 events at Rosehill include the Canterbury Stakes, George Ryder Stakes, Queen of the Turf Stakes, Ranvet Stakes, Rosehill Guineas, Storm Queen Stakes, Coolmore Classic, and The BMW Stakes.
Along with the beautiful track itself, Rosehill Gardens also features a wide range of indoor and outdoor spaces and a number of separate entertainment areas. While it is open all year for private functions and conferences, this iconic racecourse really comes alive each year when it hosts the famous Golden Slipper.
