England were bowled out for a first-innings total of just 167 on Thursday’s second day of the opening Test against New Zealand at University Oval.
Jonathan Trott top-scored for the tourists with 45 as England lasted just 55 overs after the first day’s play was abandoned because of bad weather.
Neil Wagner and Bruce Martin were the pick of New Zealand’s bowlers, with Wagner claiming 4-42 and Martin 4-43 on his Test debut.
