Australia have named a team for Saturday’s one-day international match against Afghanistan in Sharjah, with skipper Michael Clarke promoting himself to No.3 in the batting order.

Victorian allrounder Glenn Maxwell, 23, has been handed his international debut.

The game is due to start at 6pm (2400 AEDT).
